I severely resent the implication that you can’t be both!Hero’s come in all forms, and ‘geek’ is one of them.
The title was the reporter’s not mine. That said, you are absolutely right. I personally take great pride in being a geek — defined as someone dedicated to mastering difficult fields regardless of the occasional jibes of others. I shall take care in the future to conflate “geek” and “hero.”
