I would add pressmo.com tools for making flip page ebooks from pdf files. It’s fast, easy to use and cheap.

I work with hundreds of author clients and interview hundreds more every year for The Authors Show. I agree with most of what is being said here, save one thing – most publishers have a difficult time with marketing and some don’t do a good job at all. Unlike the ‘old days’, today authors must learn how to create effective INTERNET marketing and publicity plans. There is a very long learning curve involved and many simply do not want to spend the time necessary to learn how to do this. While many self-published books are not up to par, many are. Sadly a lot of them languish in obscurity, unable to create the recognition they deserve
